Genesis

In 2016, Moonwatt’s founding team first met inside Tesla’s newly formed Energy division, each bringing deep experience from the solar, wind, and battery industries. Over the next decade, they sold and deployed stationary energy storage systems across 4 continents and more than 20 countries, including a number of solar+storage projects. These projects proved that solar power could be dispatched around the clock and scaled to meet the world’s energy demands. Those experiences planted the seed for Moonwatt, founded in 2024. Since then, the team has grown, drawing top talent from the battery and renewables industries who share the same drive to push the energy transition forward.
